There is very little to collect, and nothing collected is sold or shared. ## Who is responsible Johnny Fekete, an individual based in Barcelona, Spain, is the data controller for johnnyfekete.com. Contact: hello@johnnyfekete.com. ## What is collected - **Analytics.** Google Analytics 4 counts visits and page views. It records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, browser, device type, and language, and sets cookies to recognise repeat visits. Used only in aggregate, never to identify individual visitors. - **Server logs.** The site runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes request data such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL to serve pages and protect the site from abuse. - **Email.** Messages sent to hello@johnnyfekete.com are kept in the mailbox so they can be answered. No mailing list, no CRM, no automated follow-ups. There is no advertising network, no retargeting pixel, no session recording, no heatmapping, and no fingerprinting beyond what Google Analytics does by default. ## Legal basis and retention Under the GDPR, legitimate interest covers basic analytics and keeping the site online; email correspondence is processed on the sender's own initiative. Analytics data follows Google's default retention settings. Email is kept as long as it is useful to the conversation. ## Third parties - **Google Analytics** (Google Ireland Limited) — traffic measurement. - **Cloudflare** — hosting, content delivery, and security. Pages link out to YouTube, Substack, LinkedIn, X, GitHub, Instagram, the App Store, and Google Play, each with its own privacy policy. The [Actor](https://johnnyfekete.com/actor) page embeds YouTube players directly, so YouTube receives a request — and may set cookies — as soon as that page loads. ## Your choices Analytics can be blocked with a browser setting, an extension, or Google's opt-out add-on (); the site works identically either way. EU and UK visitors have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of their personal data, and to complain to their local data protection authority.
